Hi I’m Kristy and welcome to the long and winding road that is the construction of our new home! Along with my hubby and two daughters, this will be our second home we have built and this my little slice of the interwebs to record the ups and downs.

We are considering Clarendon for a KDRB in Newcastle, would you recommend Clarendon? Your SS sounds good, which from what I have heard is most important.

Hi Tracey,
Clarendon have had their ups and downs but overall the experience so far has been fairly positive. Our SS has been very helpful which definitely makes a difference. The admin process can be quite long and tedious but that goes for most builders. Happy to answer any other questions!

We are thinking about building a new Clarendon Home in Sydney. I would like to build the Madison 37 – as I think it will be a good space for us.
We haven’t found our block yet, and don’t yet know if this dream will become a reality.
It’s so hard to know how much it will really cost. Can I ask how much the Clarendon build cost you in total? How much can I expect to pay over the price list price?

Hi Vanessa, sorry for the late reply I wasn’t getting notifications. With our siteworks etc we were at around $425k, that was on the sapphire package but didn’t include any further upgrades. Honestly you could build a beautiful home just with the sapphire package but we did upgrade things like bathroom tiling and kitchen which were the main hits to the budget. You could easily allow another $20-30k for upgrades although it really depends on your taste!
